Meet Jennifer Shillington, MA
About
I am a holistic, somatic practitioner based in Nashville, TN. The compass that guides my work is the deep belief that we are our own healers — sovereign agents in our innate capacity to restore balance and wholeness.
Each session invites curiosity, presence, and compassion — helping you feel more grounded, alive, and at home within yourself. Through a gentle, body-centered approach, I support clients in reconnecting with their inner wisdom, integrating emotional experiences, and cultivating authentic self-expression.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and Spirituality (2012) and a two-year certification in Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy. I’ve also completed Somatic Experiencing Beginner I training and have facilitated somatic psychotherapy training for practitioners. In addition to my counselling practice, I teach trauma courses for counselling students at Rhodes Wellness College, guiding the next generation of therapists in trauma-informed, embodied care.
With over 15 years of experience, I bring a deep, attuned, and integrative approach to healing. Personal healing is a complex and sometimes uncomfortable journey — it asks for self-compassion and commitment. No one can walk the road for you, but it’s my privilege to walk beside you as you embark on your own coming home.
