Understanding touring, release cycles, late nights and overlapping personal and professional relationships helps put your experience in context. Someone without industry experience can still offer meaningful support. What matters is feeling understood and finding the right fit. Industry knowledge adds context; it doesn't replace the qualifications needed for clinical care.

At this time, somatic healing sessions are not billable to insurance. However, some clients are able to use HSA or FSA (Health Savings Account / Flexible Spending Account) funds for these sessions. A detailed receipt can be provided for your records.

• Each 60-minute session is a guided exploration of your body’s sensations, emotions, and natural rhythms. Rather than focusing on “talking through” the past, we slow down and tune into the present — noticing subtle cues like tension, warmth, breath, or movement. These small signals show us where your body is ready to release stress or find more ease. Sessions are gentle, collaborative, and always guided at a pace your nervous system can handle.
• Somatic sessions are completely touch-free. Somatic work is about noticing and befriending your body from the inside out. You’ll be guided through awareness and grounding exercises while seated or standing comfortably.

A licensed counselling session focuses primarily on emotional processing, mental health concerns, and psychological support within a regulated framework. Licensed counsellors are trained and credentialed to diagnose, treat, and document mental health conditions in accordance with professional and legal standards.

A somatic healing session, on the other hand, is a body-based, experiential process rather than a form of psychotherapy. While it can feel deeply therapeutic, it’s not clinical counselling and does not involve diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders. Instead, it focuses on nervous system regulation, embodiment, and building internal capacity to meet life’s challenges.

In essence:

Each 60-minute Somatic Healing Session is $175 USD.

A limited number of sliding-scale spaces are available for those with financial constraints — please reach out to discuss availability before booking. Payment is due at the time of session, and receipts are provided for your records.

B-rooted Somatic healing can take time and each individual is unique. With that said, we recommend that clients start with a 3 month commitment, depending on their specific needs and goals. Sessions are recommended at a bi-weekly or monthly frequency, and the sessions can fit within any schedule as B-rooted sessions operate via online video calling or in person.
